Since the Big Bang, the galaxies have been getting further away from each other at increasing speed. We see the same thing on earth with the people, places, and beliefs of our youth falling away at warp speed.

In meditation a person is transformed from a wisp of straw in the torrent to a great boulder at the edge of the falls.
