Lets clear one thing up right away.
These are pierogis.
These are a pair o' geese.
They appear to be Canadian geese. If you are still having trouble telling the difference, you can listen to the geese. If they are saying "eh" a lot and wondering "what's this all a-boot" well then they are a pair o'geese. If they don't make any sound and you find yourself eating them with sour cream, they are probably pierogis.
I hope that clears up any misconceptions.
My family did finally make it up to Minnesota this summer! We were able to be there for ten days just before school started again down here in Kansas. There was plenty to do...fishing, blueberry picking, and hanging out with the relatives. It was a good time but all too short. Perhaps a few more days and I could have gotten over to visit my fellow writers at the Almanac.
Now I am back in the wild west.
My wife and I decided to try and do a garden in a community garden this summer. For the most part I have just been there for moral support. I preach on the evils of weeds while she pulls them. We have discovered that most things struggle to grow in 100+ degree temperatures. We have had summer squash, beans, peppers, cucumbers, onions, and some little tiny potatoes. We aren't too hyped about doing it again next year. It is a lot of work coming up with sermons about weeds.
Maybe next summer will be cooler, and afford a nice cookout with the Almanac crew and a garden full of vegetables. We will see.
Sorry we missed you. The Almanac bylaws state the board is to meet every five years to discuss offers for syndication and movie rights.
