" I SAID, 'YIELD! DAMN IT!!!"

  1. Did you create that image?
    It looks strangely familiar

    1. I'll try to keep this brief. Bear with me, but I didn't so much create it as I captured it, on Highway 310 north of Roseau during the great flood of June 2002. Strangely, it didn't make publication in either THE RAVEN's 20-page Special Edition Roseau County Flood Journal No. 1, (published in 2003) nor the previous 4-page "Flood of the Century" flyer (published during the flood) for some reason, one being perhaps having to limit the number of images in the flood journal to 72, and 26 in the flyer. Quite the image, you'd think I could've squeezed this one in.

I think you possibly remember this image among THE RAVEN's Global Headquarters Office Wall memorabilia: below the bald eagle's 'wingtips-touching-water' image, above a can of PAM 'GRILLING' non-stick cooking spray protruding from the countertop; and either side of a winter photo of you, your son, and your daughter-in-law, and one of me, my wife, my daughter and my son-in-law.

    2. Copies of the covers of both publications can be found here, in Wannaskawriter:
http://palmvilletownshipmn.blogspot.com. They are no longer in wide circulation, but upon inquiry may still be found among private collections (or lining litterboxes, birdcages, or puppy-mill floors) as laser toner doesn't bleed when wet.

  2. The mention of "PAM GRILLING" momentarily struck an image for me of a buxom Roseau resident out at her "Big Green Egg," making burgers and hot dogs for a crew of 18.
