Wannaskan Almanac for Tuesday, September 14, 2021 Daft or Draft

Shortly after being conscripted the young man stopped by the bar for a draft.

Draft is a multi-meaning word.  According to a rough draft that I read from a draft definition drafter, there are actually 19 ways to use the word.  It can a noun, adjective, or verb.  For example:

Please draft a memo about the draft horses who were affected by the draft of wind.

Pro sports usually have a draft.  This is when players are picked from the amateur ranks to be on a team.  The best draft pick ever was obviously Guy Lafleur who helped lead the Montreal Canadiens to several Stanley Cups.  The worst draft pick ever is believed to be Ryan Leaf.  He was drafted in the NFL by the Chargers.  In his short tenure he threw more than twice as many interceptions as touchdowns.  He was labeled a "bust" for the Chargers, and then got busted and charged with several crimes.  Bust and charge seem to be his two favorite words.

Is that a draft blowing the "Flower's" hair?

When blogger deleted all the words on a previous draft of the Wannaskan Almanac, I felt like having a draft or two of good Canadian beer.  I also felt like it when blogger didn't delete all my words.

"Rough Draft" is a song by the band Yellowcard.  Give it a listen.  They have over 700 thousand views on Youtube.

What kind of use can you draft for the word draft?  Drop it in the comments.
