Squibs

If the shark stops swimming he sinks into the abyss. So too our busy restless minds.

Ethereal is the artist's work

His supper though he begs

Ephemeral is the stuff of hacks

But it buys the steak and eggs

Humility turns pride inside out so it can dry and flake off.

Alcohol’s slow poison

A fact that we all know

But facts get kind of fuzzy

Out for dinner and a show

Those of us raised in the Christian church are at risk of becoming like the Nazarenes who missed the healing due to overfamiliarity.

It's strange how many murder-mysteries are set in the town of Red Herring.

  1. For the shark and for us, I was under the impression that it is the other way around.
You have captured the artist's blessing and dilemma. Consider the starving of "The One."
Pride and humility. Let's sweep up those flakes; we might inhale them while asleep.
    Thanks for the post!
