The squib about "dirty dishes . . . starving" is a great one. It is what I would call "squibbly wisdom." Most of your Sqs are just plain amusing, often with a dab of seriousness and/or lessons. But this one immediately caused a bubble-up of gratitude in me not only for the food in the frig, but also the conveniences we take for granted, not to mention each other.
