Sunday Squibs

Our counselor, analyst, priest, will hold our hand and tell us the bogeyman’s dead and the lights are on, but we still have to open our eyes by ourselves.

By making too much of a thing, we’re maybe belittling it.

The lunatic fringe is spreading like the rips in a fashionista’s jeans.

Those who blame God for the bad must blame God as well for the good.

Spiritual growth is like the cracking of an egg. There’s always an ugly stretch before the soul is cute and fluffy.

If I could just be

On the wall there,

A fly

Forgetting for now

Where a fly’s interests lie

  1. MDJ, so does belief (believer) require a decision by us? Do we choose God or does God choose us? If you are an infant of a Catholic or Lutheran does someone (your parents) need to choose to have you baptized? If you are a Baptist do you have to decide to “open your eyes” as an adult? If we have to open our own eyes are we then choosing independent of God. If so, God doesn’t know all things.

  2. God knows all things as things; God learns something new every day, and every day become all-knowing.
