Thursday August 14, 2025 The Perfect Host

Check out Chairman Joe's greatly informative blog post tomorrow,

Friday, August 15, 2025.

Being excellent hosts isn't as easy as Chairman Joe and HLW have made it look over the years. A lot of preparation goes into each and every endeavor these two provide their guests; this behind-the-scenes-look being no exception. Chairman Joe is pictured here using an electronic sea level measuring device to position the elegant serving platform he's provided his two guests at 6:00 am, on Tuesday morning August 12 in a rural setting, off Roseau County Road No. 8 and its intersection with Minnesota's Trunk Highway No. 89, colloquially referred to as "Wayne's World."

  1. I completely forgot about writing my blogpost until after 4:58 this morning when I got up 'to see a man about a horse' -- as we hardly ever say with the exception of yesterday morning as I left our breakfast table and, in a theme of jest, coincidentally said that very thing which prompted further dissertation by MLW and her denial of ever knowing why anyone would ever say that, my furtive explanation tripping over itself further muddying the waters. I'm sure Woe can explain it better than I, but we're off on a tangent here, 'ennaways.' My activities outdoors must have obliterated any memory I may have possessed toward my weekly duty in the Wannaskan Almanac until I laid back down and my foggy brain said "F***, you've forgotten to write your blog post."

  2. Whew! A perfect publication record was almost a thing of the past. Do we have the horse to thank, or the man that owns the horse? The picture is worth the proverbial thousand. Yes, J&T surpass all standards of hosting and hostessing! Their friends, guests, and family members are ever grateful. Looking forward to the Chairman's post tomorrow!
