Á Paris

Hello and welcome to an incroyable Saturday by way of Paris here at the Wannaskan Almanac. Today is May 17th.

A short post today, dear readers, to say Happy Saturday as the Seventh Grader and I take in all we can on our last day á Paris. We have a Van Gogh hike first thing in the morning in Auvers-sur-Oisin 22 miles outside of Paris. Then we have an afternoon visit to Saint Chapelle, followed by mass at St. Roch and a quick last look over Paris and goodbye stop at Sacre Coeur.

The adventures and sight seeing have been nothing short of worth it, worth it, worth it. Even driving a rental car through Paris on a busy Friday night had a certain spiciness I could appreciate.

More to come next Saturday!

Á bientôt et au revoir!

  1. Sounds like an amazing time with just the two of you!

It reminded me of a song by
    The Chainsmokers, of course,
    called Paris:

    We were staying in Paris
To get away from your parents
    And I thought
"Wow, if I could take this in a shot right now
I don't think that we could work this out"

    Out on the terrace
    I don't know if it's fair but I thought
"How could I let you fall by yourself
While I'm wasted with someone else"

If we go down then we go down together
They'll say you could do anything
They'll say that I was clever
If we go down then we go down together
    We'll get away with everything
Let's show them we are better

Traveling together is always better :)
I hope you enjoy all the sights!
    Safe travels home!

  2. One for the memory album, and who knows - a repeat one day? Fair and following winds on your journey back to us.

    1. Nah. Theres so many more places to see! Why waste money on the same repeated places when theres a whole world?!
Thats what that photo books for, should a day of reminiscing arise, right?!
I suppose it will be up for the travelers alone to decide.
Portugal, Jamaica, Netherlands, on and on and on..Brazil?
