These ads give me the feeling of this quote from The Mad Tea Party: Alice felt dreadfully puzzled. The Hatter’s remark seemed to have no sort of meaning in it, and yet it was certainly English. “I don’t quite understand you,” she said, as politely as she could....life is so absurd these days that these ads seem to fit right in with the general craziness.
ReplyDelete"BBQ Cooler Combo" ... was found in the Warroad Trading Post in the 218 area code, 425-prefix somethingsomething in Eastern Palmville just last month. Had a little story with it about the owner being greatly inspired by his in-laws (his wife's sister and her husband) urging to replace said stool with a 17" high elder model with plastic hand-grips, cushioned seat, and lumbar-support. I encourage you to follow up on this ad as I suspect the price has gone down now given its repurposed use doubling as a birdbath & deer waterer has come to a seasonal end.
