My Sister's Wisdom Teeth

Hello and welcome to the Wannaskan Almanac today I will be subbing in for Mom. If you didn't know, today is the thirteenth of September. My blog may not be the best but just to let you know I'm trying. And now for the blog.

The Ride

During the rise of dawn, two adventurers set out to the dentist for my older sister to get her wisdom teeth removed. (The other adventurer was my Mom. :) But before she could get her relief, she had to take on the Quest of leaving at 8:00PM the night before going to the Grand Forks Dentistry and driving two and a half hours to the hotel. Dun Dun DUUUUUUNNN!! But could she take on that challenge? The answer is YES!! She could. Meet me at the next paragraph of "The Hotel."

The Hotel

The two adventurers got to the hotel at around 10:30PM. While my mom checked out the gym, my sister found their room of 107. The two adventurers woke up at 6:20 the next morning, my mom grabbed a coffee to go, and they were on the way to the dentist at 6:35am. When they got back, my sister had a cheese omelet, half of a sausage patty, and a bit of a pastry with frosting and strawberry jelly.

The Procedure

The two adventurers got to the dentist at 6:45AM. Once they got checked in, they had to wait not 11 minutes not 20 minutes but five to ten minutes. As she walked into the operating room the cold air washed over her body as her nose picked up the smell of cleaning supplies. This was it she thought as they put an IV into her arm. As the anesthesia took over her body, she fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up, her wisdom teeth were gone, and so was the feeling of her mouth. This was it, the mission, the task, all complete.

Going Home

They left the hotel at around 9:30 with their tummies full, and as they hit the road with four tires, they were on their way back to Wannaska Land. They got back at around 11:30.

Thank you so much for reading my blog, I hope you liked it and goodbye.

The End

  1. I loved you inviting us to meet at the next paragraph. As a reader, I found that a lovely invitation.

Amazing that she could eat so soon after surgery!

    1. I participated in your adventure, as though I was in the car with you. Yes! So I see you are brave; Mom isn't the best driver as you've alluded in your previous blog posts, but hey you needed a ride and when you're a kid you have to take what you can get. I suppose Dad was busy that morning? Well, I had to make that long drive to GF to get some teeth pulled too, back on July 18th or so this year, but I drove myself.

No, no I didn't drive myself back. Not supposed to drive under the influence and all: been there, did that. Not wise by any means, no I had Chairman Joe to do that. An affable gent, (I recommend him highly a a traveling companion) Chairman Joe shortens the miles by telling stories mile after mile; many I've never heard before and those I have, still think funny; especially the one when he had to get pulled out of a ditch one early morning by the Middle River mail man. That's a corker -- or his story he wrote 'a hunert years ago' by the same name, "That's A Corker." See? I told you, he's one in a million. 'Ennaways', he drove me back from the dentist and I never flinched once in all that way. Musta been the IV juice still in my system. Yah, dat's da vay to go, eh.
